Slice of life: My wife just shocked me and I don’t know how to process it

(Disclaimer: I'm sharing this mainly for good vibes, I would appreciate no console war discussion)

So my wife is a light gamer. She plays occasionally but she never really actively discusses gaming that much and for as long as I've known her, she never did anything gaming related with her friends. She probably puts in at the most 5-10 hours per month of very casual gaming.

So today we're having breakfast and we were talking about her day at the gym this week… and then, out of the blue, she goes:

"Oh you remember those two friends of mine (two women) you met when you came to watch my CrossFit event this summer? … Well I saw them this week, I invited them over next Sunday, and we decided that we're going to have a Hot Chocolate/Xbox night"

I was like… "Wh-…What?…. A hot chocolate, Xbox night"? … I didn't even know where to begin… I was like: "Where will this magical night take place?"

She goes: "Here, on the big TV…"

Me: "…..Really?… a Hot Chocolate Xbox night?…"

Her: "Yeah, we're going eat snacks and after that, try dfferent kinds of hot chocolate that they're going to bring."

Me: "…and what are you guys going to play?"

Her: "For fall vibes, we're going to play the Harry Potter Quidditch game that you barely touched and I went on Ebay and bought the original Xbox Halo."

I was shocked… Flabbergasted… The sheer coolness and cozyness of it all… As a semi-joke, (but dead serious inside) I asked her: "…and… am I invited to this awesome night?" to which she replied: "Well you can hang around a bit but it was mostly meant to be a girls night thing."

So yeah… Now I have to find something to do next Sunday night to let my wife enjoy her super cool Hot Chocolate Xbox Night lol…
