By skyforbes Started using OLED this year and I noticed that atleast for most video games, turning on HDR makes the image lose that visual pop, the strong saturation and so on. Maybe it’s actually working as intended but keeping HDR off looks more aesthetically pleasing to me.
This is mainly the case for my OLED monitor. Used a mini-LED monitor before this but HDR there looks better though. But of course, it doesn’t have the deep blacks and sharp contrast of the OLED screen so I don’t use it anymore.
I am not comfortable with experimenting with the various monitor settings, so all I did was windows HDR calibration and everything else is at default.
