By skyforbes I’m trying to download a PowerPoint file that ChatGPT generated for me, but in this specific chat thread the download links won’t work at all. No matter what file type it sends (PPTX, PDF, ZIP), clicking the link does nothing. This issue seems to only affect this one long conversation. I’ve downloaded files from other chats with no problem.
Stuff I’ve already tried:
• Different browser
• Desktop and iPhone app
• Logging out / logging back in
• Copying the link manually
• Switching between WiFi and mobile data
Nothing works.
The weird part:
If I start a new chat and ask for the same file, it uploads fine and downloads perfectly. But I really want to keep everything in the original conversation and attachments in that thread are completely broken.
Questions:
- Is this a known ChatGPT UI bug for long conversations?
- Is there a way to refresh a specific chat thread’s attachment system?
- Any tips to make file links show up properly again without starting a new chat?
