However, I can only concentrate on one aspect at once, which leads to me watching movies or shows multiple times in order to catch everything. Typically the first time I am watching a movie, I will focus on the visuals and not pay as much attention to the subtitles. The second watch I will focus more on the text since I've already experienced the visuals.
Anyway, my guilty source of joy is when subtitles don't match the scene. If they show up before someone starts speaking, I can read it quickly and then enjoy the expressions, characters and costumes, everything. My brain fills in the words I already read and I feel like I get to experience the whole feeling/vibe of the movie at the same time.
I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but I'm not sure where or how to search. Is there some TV subtitle hack I can use to purposefully speed up subtitles so I can read the text just a few seconds before a scene ( I don't like spoilers and I DO like to experience it all in one go)? Does anyone else have the same wish, or am I just bonkers?
