By skyforbes For me, it's Training Day and Denzel. Don't get me wrong, the directing is impeccable, Ethan Hawke is pretty much perfect and the writing is razor sharp. But watching again I can't possibly imagine any other actor coming anywhere close to bringing the performance Denzel does. I really think this is one of those characters who wouldn't be nearly as iconic with another actor.
