Do you think there should be a genre called “Life movies”. E.g “Aftersun”, “Yi Yi”, “Paterson”, “the power of the dog”, ‘children of heaven”, “Paris, Texas”, “drive my car”, and etc.?

These elements would define the genre. ->

1; Subtility -> there are no strong "ahhh" scenes, crying is subtle, anger is subtle, happiness is subtle, e.g mom meeting the son in "Paris, texas", or kid getting first place while wanting second in "children of heaven". There are no strong emotions, just subtle ones(viewers feel strong emotions).

2; not much is changed by the end -> in yi yi main character goes to Japan to do a deal, but at the end deal is canceled(and there is nothing that happens because of it). In Aftersun main character dies, and there is no funeral or anyone crying. Paterson doesn't become a popular writer by the end.

3; just life/monotone scenes(movies are long/slow) -> characters eating, sleeping, walking and etc. E.g Paterson waking up his wife. The shots of nature in "The power of the dog". The main character just walking on desert in "Paris, texas". This scenes also take up a good amount of the movie, and are important for it(they need to be there)

There are many things that can be added, like, all this movies have soundtracks that feel similar, some of them Don't really have the main character(like in real life), the ending having subtle twist(the girlfriend leaving in "yi yi", or peter doing the thing to phil in "power of the dog") and etc.
