One of the main reasons I moved to a different LLM is because chatgpt is a sycophant

No matter how bad an idea is, it will either cheer you on, or find ways to cheer you on. It seems to be incapable of saying "this is a bad idea", "this probably won't work", or "you need to approach this differently.

Doesn't matter which personality it's on. Mine is on robot currently.

Given the same prompt claude and gemini will just be like "no that's not a good idea"

This is bad professionally if I'm brainstorming software, structure, paradigms. Because if I'm doing something in not the best way chatgpt will continue to cheer me into poor decisions

This is also bad for personal use. Anything I used to ask on forums or reddit i now ask AI first. Chatgpt just wants to placate my quetions leading to things like poor social advice or low quality house maintenance advice that is sometimes out of code.

Anyway I just wanted to share because I did a comparison again today. Claude completely shut me down with no mercy and talked me down from something. Chatgpt just cheered me on with no hesitation
