And if it becomes a requisite, that ends my usage of ChatGPT, and if it becomes a requisite everywhere, well, I’ll burn that bridge when I come to it. Run local, if I absolutely feel like I have to. I understand they’re kind of in a bind with it, and it sucks, but it’s just a bridge too far for me. Even stepping back from what feels like way too invasive of a measure in a privacy sense, corporations suffer data leaks all the time, and they won’t be immune to it forever. Not a smart idea, and not something I’d provide in exchange for the service they’re providing.
