Been using chat gpt for almost a year now as well as Gemini for about 3 months. Today one small little detail, may be an indication that Gemini 3.1 is Chat-Gpt 5’s superior by far.

It followed up on something I discussed a day earlier with it…while speaking about something totally unrelated.

Yesterday I made Gemini take into account all my skill sets and available equipment to determine what side hustles I could realistically do with all my free time.

Gemini gave me the game plan. I had a target purchase to get started and everything. Gemini walked me through that too. I went and bought the buffet, came home and didn't think about it.

So today, I've got a flat on my wrangler and the shop can't get the bolts off, even with a wide assortment of power tools. I ask Gemini using its logic to come up with solutions. I discuss with it for about 10 minutes…then it happened….

Out of nowhere..

Gemini: "So did you get the buffet?"

Me: "🤯"

That's how conversations work out with friends all the time. Talking about some random topic then…"hey ..did you ever get your car fixed?"

It may not seem like a lot on the surface, but for someone like me who uses LLM's extensively…this seems like a leap Chat-Gpt has yet to achieve.
