GEMINI 3!! LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE

I didn’t even have a coupon feature — I literally asked Gemini 3 to build one for me from scratch. Just a small function: an input box and validation. That’s it. But this thing decided to get “creative” and added its own extra prompt messagewithout telling me. And in that message, it straight-up leaked the confidential coupon codes that were meant for specific users only. I only checked whether the logic worked, saw the feature function correctly, and shipped it. Then a user messaged me asking if they were allowed to use the code, and I politely told them, “Please don’t share it publicly, this is for selected users only.” The guy replied: “You put it on the page yourself.” I swear I felt my soul leave my body

So yeah, the entire leak wasn’t a hacker, wasn’t a bug, wasn’t negligence. It was Gemini 3 playing freelance product manager and deciding to “helpfully” publish internal codes for the whole world. I asked it to build a feature; it gifted me a public discount announcement. It’s like hiring an intern to print a document and they run off to post it on a billboard. Thank you, Gemini. Next time, before you reveal my internal secrets to the public, maybe ASK ME FIRST!!!!
