By skyforbes My Pixel 7a updated this morning and I got the junk like the "Wicked" theme pack, and apparently also "Nano Banana" in SMS.
I have never used Nano Banana at all before I just tried to "like" a picture in a 17-person long-running group chat and got it popping up. I have read this two-month-old discussion which says:
Unfortunately, there is no direct "off" switch for Nano Banana or any other models within a specific chat thread.
The most reliable way to reset the model's context is to start a completely new conversation.
Is this still correct? Has Nano Banana infested every single one of my existing conversations now?
I don't want to edit the picture I'm responding to or generate a new version of it — I just want to "like" it or do one of the other emoji responses!
