Because judging other people is such a low-effort thing to do, it makes the depth of thought behind a judgment even more valuable.
Instead of just jumping on bandwagons, defending ourselves, or ranting as a way to broadcast our values, maybe we should first ask: What’s the real need underneath this? What deeper understanding can I get out of it? Those “unnatural” pauses to reflect often hide the real treasure.
So: judge less, think more, do more. Let your emotions be a source of energy, not a weapon.
