By skyforbes Hoping someone has some kind of recommendation for us New World players that have been thrown into disarray by Amazon's decision to kill the game off.
I have fairly limited time and like there to be a sense of 'progression' and a long term goal in my game play. Predominantly I like doing this via improved weapons/armour which is why MMOs have always been my go to but the pool of mmo's now that New World is on it's way out is disappointing.
- ESO – Dated and combat is incredibly easy to the point the majority of the content is boring.
- Throne and Liberty – Just seems to be a total mess.
- The rest of the PS5 mmo's are incredibly dated.
ARPGs – all seem to be moving to seasonal formats which basically kills all progression every 3-4 months.
I've completed some of the longer RPGs that offer this (DS3, Elden Ring, Skyrim) but I've run into a bit of a dead end.
Is there a hidden gem or new games I'm missing that offers some kind of permanent, long term progression rather than one-and-done story based gameplay?
