By skyforbes I'd have to imagine that it must have been a religious or mystical experience to see space portrayed on the screen like that for the first time.
How were people reacting to it because it must have been what it was like for people to have seen the first motion pictures or hearing sound films the first time.
I know a lot of people did drugs and saw it but I think even if you saw it not high it would have been so intense.
For me the only thing I can compare it with is when Star Wars came back to the theaters and you saw the first star destroyer roar across the screen in episode IV. That feeling of just sheer terror and awe.
