I thought there would be something far more meaningful and realistic. Instead it's almost celebrating the untrue stereotype of the lovers who also sort of hate each other, who engage in a power play. It felt sick and surface level. I'd hate for anyone new to the world of love to see this movie and take any lessons from it.
The moment the doctor showed interest in her I wanted her to run away with him. She was stuck with a villain and eventually became a villain herself.
Is it meant to be a metaphor, not taken literally? What am I not getting đ
PS I say all this but the film itself and the actors were all masterful. There were seriously great little moments. Just it left me feeling like the director has a very poor idea about relationships.
