By skyforbes I’ve been buying a lot of PS2 and PS1 games lately because I really wanted to experience of few of the classic which got me thinking:
Why are almost all 7th Gen games that weren’t shovelware or Wii titles Rereleases / Remasters -even unsung heroes and games that sold badly like Bulletstorm- getting released on PS4/5 and retroactively Steam but only very few very very high Profile Titles like FF games from PS2 and below get rereleases, remasters or even Remakes?
I don’t get it since the 07th gen games are still available for purchase as the PS3s store is still up and running and the Xbox features a pretty large amount of 360 titles as well but almost none of the PS2/Dreamcast/PS1/Xbox/N64 or GameCube/Wii games are available to purchase aside of the odd 500 EUR offering on EBay.
Is there any good reason for that?
