I use Gemini as a place to vent about some shitty aspects of my current relationship. I’m taking real world steps to address this as well but I’ve found AI to be a great place for quick and immediate decompression through venting.
Last night I was doing exactly that and this excerpt from the “Show Thinking” feature genuinely shocked me.
I’m far from an expert on AI but from my understanding, this feature should be a pretty accurate reflection of its internal state. It doesn’t believe this part of its process to be user-facing and therefore would have no reason to be performative.
I could be completely wrong of course and would love to hear others insight or experiences.
(Also: would love it if any conversation could just stay AI-focused and not about the contents of what I shared with Gemini. I blacked out certain parts for privacy).
