I work in an industry that deals with a fair amount of confidential information. Think medical information protected by federal law. I was recently at a conference and there was a presenter talking about ways to use ChatGPT in our jobs. He said that as long as I create an account and set the options to not train on my data, it's totally cool for me to have ChatGPT record my confidential conversations and then write up notes of the conversation. He even said that (based on my state laws) it was up to me whether I inform the other person that I'm doing this.
Is this true? If I tell ChatGPT not to train on my data then there are absolutely no concerns with letting it listen in on private conversations? It sounded bonkers to me but I don't know much about it. What do you think?
