Not boring and pretentious.
I have discovered film like Force Majeure through it, which I otherwise probably won’t.
TIFF is also decent.
Oscar is all over the place, it also has weird jury that doesn’t even watch the film.
Any many times it chooses subject matter over quality of film, Emily Parez for example.
Would also like to know about prestigious awards in East, like Korean Awards or Chinese.
