By skyforbes The “most annoying movie trope” thread from earlier had me reflecting on my favorite move tropes.
One of my favorites is when the protagonist goes to an ally with a startling piece of information that serves to push the plot forward. The other character just kinda scoffs and is like “yeah ok whatever” BUT THEN the protagonist busts out a piece of evidence that the ally has to take seriously and the ally gets this grave look on their face and is like “I think you and I better have a drink.”
Just gets me pumped for whatever exposition is about to happen.
