Recommendations for hangout low stakes chilling with the character films like Rio Bravo?

I didn’t love Rio Bravo, but I do need to give it a rewatch since I’ve come around to adoring hangout films, where the stakes are low and you are just chilling with the characters. I obviously enjoy high stake films, but I have recently gotten into low stake films more so. My only issue is, a lot of these films are made in 80s onwards, and while I have a bunch of those on my watchlist, I want to see that kind of movie, but made anwywhere from the 1930s-1950s with those same hangout vibes like Rio Bravo. I just think it’d be cool to see that kind of chill daily life on screen with a movie made in that 30s-50s era. Please let me know if you have any recommendations for me based on what I am asking for.
