Which is better: A multi disc boxset with each film having their own case, multiple films on one disc and a single case, or one case with multiple discs?

Basically the title. I'm a big lover of physical media (I just like to have it in my hands, ya know?) and I'm curious. I think in terms of having multiple films in one product, most of the time it'll just be one case with a disc per film. But every so often you'll see a multiple case boxset.

Recently I watched the a Criterion release that had two films on a single disc, which I suppose is more practical in terms of not wasting physical material.
