Is Gen Z losing patience for classic slow-burn films like The Big Lebowski?

So there’s this movie that’s easily one of my all-time favourites as a millennial – The Big Lebowski.
I recently tried watching it with a Gen Z friend, and she couldn’t sit through more than 15 minutes.

I get it – everyone has their own taste in cinema. But some films are just classics for a reason.
The Big Lebowski is this perfect mix of comedy, chaos, and laid-back brilliance.

It got me thinking:
Is the younger generation losing patience for slow-burn, character-driven films?
Or am I just romanticising a movie that clicked with my generation?
