NanoBanana Pro limitations – microscopy style images

I was trying to use nanobanana pro to generate a new LinkedIn profile header image and ran into an interesting guardrail that as soon as I asked it to generate anything microscopy related it simply refused entirely.

Example prompt with supplied image for comparison: Generate a new linkedin cover image that should be 3168 x 792 pixels in dimension and inspired by the style of this microscopy image.

The only response I get is "Something went wrong (13)"

Does anyone know if this is a guardrail against Gemini being used to generate academic misconduct images? (e.g. falsifying microscope images for a publication).

I've tried explaining in the prompt that it is only being used for a LinkedIn header image and an example, but have had zero success.
