By skyforbes Just watched the new A24 movie eternity, really liked it, buy I thought the movie was building up for a better ending, and I just wanted to post my idea about it:
- Early on they stablish that whoever violated the rules of their eternity gets sent to the void, supposedly worse than hell
- towards the end when Joanne breaks the rules and goes back for Larry, she should've been sent to the void
- the movie should've ended with Larry sticking to his word and following her regardless if it meant eternity in the void
-And there you go they're together for Eternity
Basically end the movie like those lyrics from that song by Death Cab For Cutie:
If Heaven and Hell decide that they both are satisfied
Illuminate the "no"s on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark
