I like to customise my desktop and I seem to remember from like 10 years ago or more something that looked like an open and scrollable map inside my desktop. It may have been called "hedges" or something but I couldn't find that on google so maybe I'm wrong.
I have a lot of apps for school, gaming, work etc. and I like to be able to access them from my desktop, thought I don't want my entire desktop to be cluttered with files and .exe files.
I was wondering if there's something that allows me to make like 3 to 4 big folders which I can always see what I put in without opening something like file explorer.

If anyone has an idea I'd love it if you can share that. Been looking for this for a long time and only now thought of making a reddit post about it.
