C/S: 12V outlet in the bed is inop.
Verified the concern, I check TIS and the only documented 12v outlet fuse is in the junction block under the glovebox. I check that fuse, it's good. I check the ground point coming off the outlet, 4 milliohms back to the auxiliary battery.
I pulled the panel with the compressor interface and the outlets to check for corrosion, the connectors are completely enclosed and not exposed to elements. As I'm putting it back on I notice one of the fake vents is slightly darker than the other, and when I touch it, it's fucking RUBBBER. Come to find out it is a cover for the bed outlet fuse, which was blown. The fuck?
This fuse does not show up in the repair manual, the owner's manual, or the wiring diagram. Per Toyota's documentation, it does not fucking exist, and it was actively hidden.
Also, running a 12v charging port and 2 USB-Cs off a single 7.5A fuse? Really?
Toyota is putting ghost fuses in Tacomas now.
