Jessica Alba was sensational in “HONEY” (2003), a guilty pleasure which is best served as the ideal afternoon film. Enjoyable, engaging and silly.

Honey is still my favorite Jessica Alba film. It was fluff yet enjoyable, pleasant and it shows how appealing a actress Jessica Alba could be on film instead of just being the "sexy girl" or the "wife" with the Goldie Hawn wig in the Fantastic Four films.

Alba is front and center and she dances and creates a character whom you're okay with following throughout the picture,

It's the typical kids put on a stage show and save the day. You have the bad guys (David Moscow as the sleazy record producer, LaurieAnn Gibson as the bitchy dancer), you have the adorable kids whose mom is a drunk in the projects, you have the (dull) romantic interest played by a underused Mekhi Phifer (was Rob Brown unavailable?).

Does it matter a choreographer would never be listed in a music video? It wouldn't and it doesn't matter because the film is entertaining, amusing and Jessica Alba was a star. I wish we got a Honey 2.
