By skyforbes Hey all – I have a fairly old 1080p TV that does not have dynamic range compression built into it. I’m using a Roku stick for my streaming and it has a “volume leveling” option which works perfectly so that I can hear the dialog and action/music in shows and movies.
I have a large Blu Ray collection, but I find myself never watching them because on my Sony Blu Ray Player and my Sony PS5, there is no dynamic range compression/volume leveling options, so the dialog is almost impossible to hear without jacking up the volume and getting blown away by action/music. I was wondering if you know of an inexpensive 1080p Blu Ray player that has this option built into it? I tried google but no real luck. Thanks so much.
