I'm a local filmmaker looking to speak to people in New York about the feeling of living and working here as the days start to shorten, the darkness sets in, you leave the office and head to the subway and the sun's already gone. The way it can make some people here feel even more disconnected from each other. Shoot me a message if you're interested and we can talk more about the details.
A bit more detail about the project. This is a video essay that's central theme is the "Winter Solstice". It's all going to be shot all in New York with nighttime/dusk city landscapes as a motif throughout. I'm trying to weave together multiple threads of thought and perspective around that theme, one of which is the way the onset of winter and the shortening days affect people psychologically and emotionally, especially in a dense urban environment like New York.
Happy to go into more detail about myself and the project for those who are interested.
