By skyforbes I threw The Batman back on tonight and something clicked that I didn’t really notice the first time. The whole movie has the same energy as Se7en — not just the rain and the gloom, but the way both stories feel like they’re happening in a city that’s rotting from the inside out.
Both movies follow detectives who look like they haven’t slept in a decade, chasing someone doesn’t give a flip about killing. Even the pacing and the way the clues drop feel similar.
Just saying are we sure Mills and Somerset were from Gotham?
Not saying they’re actually connected. It just hit me that they feel like they’re on the same planet. Curious if anyone else ever thought that.
