Is The Substance a Saturday night movie?

My boyfriend is a huge horror fan. To the point where he becomes a little snobbish.. 🤣 On Saturday nights, he calls it Nightmare Theater or something like that and occasionally I’ve gotten to pick out the movie and every time he’s been so surprised that he’s actually liked the movie! I don’t always enjoy movies that will induce nightmares, so I try to add some variety here.. I’ve been trying to get him to watch The Substance for sometime now and he keeps telling me that it’s not a Saturday night movie. (He actually knows nothing about this movie).
I’m trying to explain that this movie is amazing and paid really awesome homage to throwback body horror. Can you guys just respond with a yes or no if it’s a good Saturday night movie please? 🤞😅
