I mean like. The first time I saw "Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle" it was a bootleg of some sort that ended with the kids smashing the board game only to hear the drums get WAY louder as Jumanji downloaded itaelf as an app to every phone in town.
I also had a VHS of "Little Shop Of Horrors" with a handwritten label that ended with the Audrey 2 plants being sold to everyone everywhere and eventually attacking the major cities Kaiju-style. Before ending with Audrey 2 popping through fhe "Screen" and saying "Made ya look!". I learned only this last year that was NOT how that movie ended.
I had always assumed Genie making the same gag at the end of Aladdin was a reference to that.
