context response limitations

so I've been trying to debug some code (and add a few things that are outside of my scope of knowledge) using a gemini gem that I created with the pdf files and the documentation of the hardware I'm trying to code.

now this worked great for the beginning part of the day. my code started around 625 lines and grew to almost 900 with the changes and implementations I added. but about an hour ago (well within my pro account context window), gemini's responses and analysis of my code started to get truncated to around 600 lines, then 500, then a little over 400. It even recognized the truncation itself and had no way around it other than breaking it into chunks.

I could still post the entirety of my code and it would understand it, but if it made a change and posted the entirety back to me, it got cut off.

anyone else seeing this? I went to help, and all they could do was acknowledge that there is, indeed, a hard limit, but wouldn't tell me what the limit was as they (have no access to that information).
