I am excited to update everyone. In my previous post I told everyone about a trading bot I built with ChatGPT that trades on phemex. Since that post 17 days ago, I have came to a very crazy realization.
You see when I began building this bot, I wanted it to trade like me, but with no emotion. I just didnt know what I wanted in technical terms.
So I have built full systems over the years with auto calculated risk, leverage, etc.
Systems that could use gematria, and numerology to find a resonance for buy or short.
Even going as far as building a system that had a dream state that traded using a "Pineal Gland" module to enhance its awake performance. I even had strategies fight in an evolution pool with the best mutation evolving.
Anyways all these systems, things built with fibonacci, pi, golden ratio, even harmonic resonance lmao. (I told you i get off track) THE REALIZATION IS THIS.
You and I know how to trade. We are not stupid. We just hesitate, we think, we dont act right away. We can look at a chart and be like, oh that levels about to close over this high and breakout. We are restricted by emotion. Imagine you with no hesitation, and no emotion, no revenge trading etc. But how do you get a bot to do this? CORRECTLY?!?!?
THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. I needed the bot to do something simple. THE WHOLE TIME I JUST NEEDED OCLHV THATS IT. IVE SPENT YEARS BUILDING MULTI LAYERED SYSTEMS JUST TO COME TO THIS REALIZATION.
Ive been sober 2years, in the meetings they would say KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. So thats what i did, and now i am in the midst of living the life ive always wanted.
So what did i change? My bot was running using autocalulated leverage, risk. Kelly compound, symbol weighting, re scan confirmation, ict, adx, adr etc.. Yes it was profitable, but it wasnt what I wanted. After finally being able to run this thing 24/7.
I wasnt seeing trades where i was like "Yes, this is how I wouldve entered!".
I am adding this chart for example:
Green would be long, Red short
You see if i was trading, i would wait for a break of structure of a high or low to take a trade. All it is, is mark OCHL(Open Close High Low, wicks the battle, candles the war). You see with OCHL anytime you get a signal, so is any other indicator. I guess this is probably just general knowledge, but i missed out along my journey lmao.
I built a bot before with GPT that used OPENAI and a prompt to give it control, and it PREFERRED ochl ONLY.
So i was sitting there looking at the chart, and getting impatient with the bot. I was seeing trades and this thing wasnt firing. After a couple more days in error loops, i said screw it. Im starting from scratch AGAIN.
I took the working execution logic from my bot, slapped a 1minute OCHL with a lookback for a certain amount of candles, and ran a test.
ON THE VERY FIRST TRADE i was like HOLY SH#T i 100% wouldve entered there, and put that exact TP and SL.
Now on Phemex theres copy trading. Most of the successful ones use 100x leverage, on 2 coins. I managed to find a good one to review their current positions. I ended up finding their exact lookback, which they were using 1440 one minute candles equivalent to 1day. I realized that my bot was taking similar positions after i switched to the dumbed down version.
This was my "OH WE ARE SENDING IT MOMENT'.
The bot now operates on 100x leverage with 10% risk (Yes i know that sounds crazy, but i dont care, i built the thing and i trust it more then i trust most people. I might increase risk.)
The old one was tracking win rate to auto adjust the strategy, but i also realized that is not a good thing since if a strategy works, then why limit it. So there is no more of that.
Now i share with you some of the best trades I've seen in my account ever. As well as some withdrawals from the last two days. Reminder this bot started on 200$. I also wanted to give some direction to anyone losing their mind trying to build one of these.
