By skyforbes Hi, I’m in urgent need of help by tomorrow, 12.7. I just found out I won’t have the Medicaid (I’m in NY) that I’ve had. I’m disabled and on Medicare. My supplemental insurance is Medicaid. I’m over the $1800/ month. I only found out on Wednesday(I haven’t gotten any letters/ emails/ updates on my account)…I have no clue what to do. Person at Medicaid (over the phone) asked if I wanted to pay the money as I was now in the “Spenddown” program. I asked what this is and she was of no help, couldn’t explain what I have to do. Do I have to pay the remainder of my balance (after the $1800) monthly to them to keep Medicaid? Do I get a Medicare Advantage plan? Please please anyone who can help, I only have one day left to get a plan, I’ve had to cancel appointments and I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get my rxs this month. No one seems to know what’s going on- even the people who “sell” the plans. I hope I explained correctly. I’m very confused. Thank you.
