Are we heading toward an “AI beauty standard” that will ruin real relationships?

I’ve been thinking about something lately.
With new AI image models (like NanoBanana), the level of realism is getting insane. I keep seeing pictures of insanely beautiful girls online and then realizing they’re not real after a couple of seconds.

And these images are perfect: flawless skin, ideal proportions, symmetry, lighting, everything. Basically the “dream version” of a human, but engineered.

So here’s the thought:
If AI keeps improving and the internet gets flooded with these hyper-real, hyper-perfect faces, we might reach a point where people can’t even tell what’s real anymore. And once that happens, won’t we start comparing real humans to these AI-generated “perfect humans”?

Like a new beauty standard that literally no human can reach.

It’s similar to what happened with supermodels and Photoshop, but this time the standard isn’t just unrealistic — it’s non-human. I wonder if this will mess with how people feel attraction, fall in love, or even approach dating. Because if the brain gets used to AI-level perfection, real people might start feeling “not enough.”
