To grow a lotus flower from a tuber, fill a large, round container with 60% clay and 40% river sand. Leave about 3-4 inches between the top of the soil and the rim of your container. Press the tuber into the top of the sand, but don’t bury it in the soil completely or it will rot. Lower the container 6-12 inches below the surface of the pond.
