I had a mild fender bender today that I might be able to fix for incredibly cheap with a friend of mine. I still need to get it checked out by an actual mechanic, but the car is kinda old and because the issues are probably just cosmetic, I'd rather have the payout to deal with some bills. I'm not even sure if insurance companies pay you out anymore or if it has to go to the mechanic, but if I can get a payout, I'd like that. Will this affect my Medicaid? I haven't made much money for the past several months and I am technically self employed, even though I don't make a lot of money.
[Nebraska] Would taking an insurance payout for damage to my car and not fixing the car be considered income for Medicaid?
