Longest context window you can’t use – Moving to Claude

Let me share how I'm perceiving a decline in the quality of Gemini answers over the past 6 months. I'm working in a business that does a lot of research and generate long documents for each project. I picked Gemini for this task because of the long context window.

The first months were great and I have no complaints. Quality of search and results were great.

But, around two months ago I noticed that Gemini simply could not handle the search anymore. I started to get random bugs and errors like with messages like:

• Something went wrong
• Check your internet connection

And it simply didn't accepted my prompt.

In the past month, an infuriating bug keeps logging me out of from Gemini. I send the prompt and it keeps processing for a few minutes and then the infamous message appears: "You have been signed out"

On top of those problems, I became so slow. For the few projects were I was able to go forward with the research and get a report. Any requests to make changes to the document takes forever and usually makes Gemini to sign me out.

Anyone else having problems with long prompts and search results? If you had similar problems, any solutions other than trying smaller prompts and reports?
