By skyforbes What’s your general opinion of Harmony korine films? I first became aware of him obviously after he wrote kids which still is probably among my favorite films of all time. I think Gummo is kind of trash, although I appreciate it for being unique. I haven’t seen Julian yet and I’m sort of indifferent on Mr. lonely. I never watched trash Humpers and I probably never will.
But I really enjoy spring Breakers and the beach bum. I think both these movies have a beautiful natural scenery to them, and I appreciate the way harmony Seems to celebrate a hedonistic lifestyle. It also amazes me that a guy who made such weird films, was able to get Disney stars lol.
I haven’t really watched Agro drift yet. But overall, I think I have to appreciate how different harmonies work is. And the reason I appreciate it is because it’s authentically different not because it’s trying to be but just because that’s the way he is.
