Why does racism against south-asians does not carry any weight ?

Racism against Indians both online and offline has become disturbingly normalized. I have nothing but respect and solidarity for Black people, and when racism affects Black children, it rightly becomes a major issue that people take seriously .What troubles me is that when similar things happen to brown children, the response is often muted. Even people on the social left, who are otherwise vocal about fighting racism, tend to take a step back and make far less effort to address it.
