HOOK (1991) is a childhood classic, a film which warmed our hearts, yet not everything about it was perfect. If you could pick one big flaw, which one would it be?

I wish the film just had one child, the Charlie Korsmo's kid, Jack. He had a purpose in the story. The daughter was annoying as heck, did a cheesy tone-deaf singing number and was just disposable. Because Korsmo is a brilliant kid actor, he made his co-star more obvious in how limited her acting was.

An aspect I appreciated a lot about the film was making Robin Williams' Peter Banning completely unlikable. When he screams at his kids, and Williams doesn't hold back, it was shocking. It almost appeared as if he was about to beat his children because of the stress. Everyone of us knows what was it like to be a kid with a stressed-out parent exploding so the scene was relatable. Those small moments stick out.
