in our curent media, i am very often surprized by how popular exploits/cheeses are, and it surprizes me because we pay for this games, we theoreticly enjoy this games so why do it?
Now, to be fair, i've also cheesed/exploited in games, my reason usualy is because i don't like a certain something. If the game tells me to collect 500 plants to progress, and i realy don't want to do that, but there is a duplication bug, i will use it.
But i see it over and over online, and even with a lot of ppl i play with, that they will cheese/exploit in games they like, even for things that they like in a game. (Think elden ring and using an instakill magic cheese build you found on tiktok even tho before that you enjoyed the tough fights)
Of course, if you don't exploit,/cheese, this question isn't for you, but for those who do, why do it? Is it because it's more fun to break the system then play within it? I am actualy realy curious
