I just watched Mary Poppins to celebrate Dick Van Dyke’s 100th birthday, it got me thinking, do parents still show films like this to their kids?
I was born in the 90s and had quite a musical family so I was brought up on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wizard of Oz, Disney Classics & old Hollywood despite many of the films being made 30+ years prior. I don’t have children yet so I wonder are parents in the 2020s just showing kids films from the 90s onwards? Or also showing them the classics they grew up on? I’m simply curious as I think you just can’t beat these movies!
