Did your iPhone fail to copy photos and videos to Windows?
While we were copying photos and videos from an iPhone to our PC, we received an error message in the middle of the process: “A device attached to the system is not functioning.” Some of the media files were copied successfully, but many were not, and we had to recopy everything, which led to further errors. This was quite frustrating, as we had to transfer more than 20GB of files, and the process was constantly interrupted. Finally, after some troubleshooting, we were able to find a solution. Here’s how you can do it too:
1. Basic troubleshooting
If you encounter any errors while transferring photos or videos, first try changing the USB port or cable. If that doesn’t work, you may need to adjust your iPhone’s settings.
2. Changing iPhone settings
One reason for the transfer failure may be that the iPhone tries to convert the format of the images and videos, which causes the transfer to fail.
