A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson Review

“She was too sad to be angry and too angry to be sad.”

What a tangle of emotion to be trapped in when your dog goes missing & then dead. After the shady murderer in her EPQ highschool project takes 5 steps ahead of our “inspector”, Pippa. 👮‍♀️

And to think she abided to ‘his’ terms to get her dog back from the kidnapper, destroying every gadget that has evidence to reopen the case. All to end her probing on the inconclusive & unjust Andie Belle ‘missing girl/murder’ case. Yet, he didnt care, he didn’t keep his side of the bargain. 😏

So close, yet, so far from the truth.
– So far from vindicating late Sal Singh, (‘late’ Andie’s boyfriend and supposed killer).
– So far from helping Ravi & the Singhs gaining freedom to live in the town and a chance to mourn their son and brother.
– So far from unveiling the true murderer from her growing lists of people of interests and probable suspects, in the small town of Little Kilton.

Spitting more lies onto the set mound of lies to her family and co-sargent, Ravi, as she keeps piling warning threats to herself. Mourning a lovely companion of her past decade, Barney. Mourning her destroyed evidence, with deep regrets, after keeping her side of the bargain, sulking on “That’s not fair.”
What our dear Pippa does henceforth remains a mystery to uncover. Does she stay away from it all and turn a new leaf? 🤔

Or, does she probe deeper to complete her EPQ project, keep her ‘vindicating Sal’ word to Racism, and ultimately find Andie Belle’s killer? 🤫

Lovely Book Cover

This book has been a true thriller. I’ve missed this exciting feeling of ‘second guessing every character as the killer’ sensation. 12 days of this page-scrolling, unputdownable thriller has been a real relaxant in the longest while. 🥰🔥

Thriving on themes of suspense, tension, mystery, racism, family and Lies telling, lol. I rated it a 5/5🤩 without even completing the book.😂 And 5/5 it was in the end.

And the plot twist, 🤯 mind-blowing. I still believe Andie was never murdered, she’s alive somewhere. Who knows? 🤷

Hop in to the chats with your comments, views on the book and let’s have a reminiscence of this breathtaking fictional true crime by Holly Jackson. 😉

Hasta pronto!✌️
