Sorry if this has been answered but I can't find a clear answer anywhere. I just enrolled for Medicaid (waiting on the application approval + submitted an unemployment form as proof of income), but what I am going to get for unemployment adds up to more than what's acceptable per month in NYC for Medicaid (if I were to file for unemployment every week). I also occasionally do freelance work (which I would report when filing for unemployment obviously but it still will add on some income). Can anyone tell me more about the outlook for this whole situation?
UPDATE: I just called and apparently I am still eligible because they calculate eligibility based on yearly income, not monthly, at least for where I am, and unemployment is only 26 weeks… Highly recommend always calling. I had no wait today and it was super easy. It is really difficult to find accurate information online about these things
