I kinda ignored this at the time, but like more than a year later this is bothering me. I listen to Scarlett Johansson speak and she doesn't sound anything like the AI voice I remember. At the time, I lost a lot of respect for her. It felt like a lot of main character syndrome to believe the bot was cloned off your voice. I felt this was the first time OpenAI showed they didn't have a backbone. Rather than saying, this is not your voice, they immediately folded. This is NOT a thread to focus on Scarlett Johansson, but it is a thread to ask… does anybody else think the original ChatGPT voice mode sounded nothing like her? If it's just me, that's fine, but I need to know.
Am I the only one who thinks the original voice mode 🔥 actually does NOT sound like Scarlett Johansson… like at all?
