Anyone else tired of the forced PvP stuff?

I don't understand why so many games come out with that now. Like PvP as a whole is fine, it's not my cup of tea because I ALWAYS seem to find the cheaters/glitchers/griefers which kills any enthusiasm I may have had real quick.

So I understand why having PvP is a thing and that many people enjoy it.

But games that are like "Ah ah ah, if you want to play you have to accept that players can just randomly kill you for absolutely no reason!" are just one huge middle finger to people like me. As a game designer they pretty much alienate a large chunk of players who would've bought the game if they hadn't decided not to add any way to play without PvP enabled.

Even Dark Souls games don't do that crap. As long as you are alone you can play in peace and any invader would have to deal with at least two people if you rang for help unless you WANTED PvP.

I don't get it. Developers are literally losing money by clinging to that type of game and people are missing out on interesting looking games just because they don't want to be annihilated by other players who know the ins and outs of the game and think it's funny picking on new players before they have any clue how to play 🤦‍♀️

Edit: I thought I worded somewhere in here that I meant playing MULTIPLAYER games with FRIENDS. I'm aware of single player games but when you want to find fun games to play with a buddy but learn "Ah, we have to deal with fighting people too? Nevermind."

Edit 2: Why is the concept of server for PvP or PvPvE and a server for PvE so hard to fathom? 🤦‍♀️ I'm NOT saying every game should be PvE I'm just tired of new multiplayer games these days having no way to avoid PvP. So people who want to beat on each other can have fun and people who don't want to deal with other people can also have fun.

Everyone wins. Devs get more money because everyone is buying their game, and people who do and don't like PvP are enjoying themselves.
